ARCS DE MONELLS
Arcs de Monells is a familiar hotel full of details. It is located in the town of Monells, in the Baix Empordà, just at the foot of the Gavarres, very close to the main tourist attractions of the Empordà and a few kilometers from Girona and the magnificent beaches of the Costa Brava. Located in a unique environment, it stands out for its serenity and its connection with the Empordà environment. Features that make this rural hotel, the perfect accommodation for those seeking relaxation, privacy and enjoy the best of the Empordà.
The main building of the hotel is Mas Fàbregas, an old fortified farmhouse that had been an antique hospital for the poor and pilgrims. It was founded in 1364 by Maria de Xérica, Countess of Prades and Empúries by the marriage of her and Ramon Berenguer I, son of King James II of Catalonia and Aragon.
It seems, then, that history has winked at us, and the same walls and stones that welcomed travelers in the fourteenth century, today welcome travelers of the twenty-first century. With a total of 21 rooms, spread over 2 buildings surrounded by a beautiful garden where you can stroll or relax and a large overflowing pool on 4 levels.
The hotel has a restaurant and bar-cafeteria with terrace reserved for its guests, with the possibility of enjoying dinner throughout the year, except Sundays and Mondays, and also lunch from San Juan until the end of August.
